Ireland's #1 go karting community

Go Karting Events. You bring the passion, we bring the crew.

Wanting to race was never the problem. Finding enough drivers was. So we fixed the finding part.

Why a crew

What changes when you race with a crew.

  • Your mates bail. Now:

the whole crew can fill the grid.

  • A grid of strangers. Now:

    rivals who know your name.

  • Nobody keeps score. Now:

your results and best laps on the leaderboard.

  • No car. Now:

members driving the same way can offer a lift.

How it works

You bring the passion. We fill the grid.

Four steps from the sofa to the starting grid. Not a cent leaves your account until the grid reaches its minimum and you say yes.

  1. 01

    Get in

GoKart Crew is invite-only. Got a member's invite link? Use it. No invite? Apply for one, and we let new drivers in as grids open up.

  2. 02

    Join a grid

Pick a race and join in one click. No card, nothing charged, and you can leave whenever you like.

  3. 03

    Race on? Pay.

When the grid hits its minimum, payments open. You have 48 hours to pay for your seat, unless the race says otherwise: paying is what confirms it. Once enough drivers have paid, we book the circuit and pay its deposit.

    Lights out

Once your seat's confirmed, you get the link to the race's WhatsApp group: meet the grid, sort a lift, and settle who's buying the chips after. Then turn up and race. Your results and best laps land on the leaderboard.

You'll see the price, the format and the minimum grid before you join.

Didn't confirm in time? Your seat is offered to the next driver in the queue, and you're not charged.

Sound familiar?

Every karting plan dies in the group chat.

Someone says karting. Twelve thumbs up. Then the week happens. Someone's got a wedding, someone's skint, someone “might” come. The track wants a minimum for a group booking, and by Thursday you're three short. Again.

Before you hit the grid

When do I pay?

Only once the grid reaches its minimum. It goes in this order: 1. you join the grid for free, in one click, with no card; 2. once the grid reaches its minimum number of drivers, payments open; 3. you pay within your window (48 hours, unless the race page says otherwise), and paying is what confirms your seat; 4. once enough drivers have paid, we confirm the booking with the circuit and pay its deposit.

What if the race doesn't fill?

Then nobody pays a cent: a grid that never reaches its minimum simply expires. If not enough drivers pay by the deadline, or the organiser cancels the race, everyone who paid gets a full refund. If you don't pay inside your window, the seat goes to the next driver, at no cost to you. The small print: If you can't attend after paying, withdraw from the race page. More than 72 hours before the race starts, you get everything you paid back, in full. Less than 72 hours before the start there is no refund, because the circuit is already booked with your payment: you get your money back only if another driver takes a seat and pays for it.

Why is it invite-only, and how do I get in?

So the crew grows at the pace the grids can take, and everyone on a grid is there to race. A member can send you their invite link. No invite? Apply for one on the Request an invite page: tell us about your karting, and we let new drivers in as grids open up. If you know a member, name them and they can approve you straight away. Browsing races, circuits and leaderboards is open to everyone.

I've never raced properly. Is this for me?

If you love karting, yes. Every race page shows the circuit, the format and the price before you join, so you know what you're in for. Best laps are tracked per circuit and kart class, so there's always a personal best to chase, wherever you finish.

What do I need to bring?

Check the race page and the circuit's own rules: each circuit sets its own kit and safety requirements. You'll need a phone number on your profile before you join a race, because it's used for the race's WhatsApp group. Once your seat is confirmed, you get the group link and can ask the organiser and the rest of the grid anything before race day.

How many drivers are in a race?

Each race sets its own minimum and maximum, and the race card shows how many drivers have joined. The race is on once it hits the minimum. If the grid is full, extra drivers queue in the order they joined and are offered any seat that frees up.

Which circuits can we race at?

GoKart Crew lists 26 karting circuits across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Each race is held at one of them, and its page tells you which. We're starting in Ireland, with other countries to follow.

How do lifts and karma work?

If you're driving to a race, offer your spare seats to drivers without a car. You earn +10 karma for each passenger who confirms the lift after the race, and +25 when a friend you invited finishes their first race. Racing pays as well: +5 every time you finish, plus a podium bonus of +15 for a win, +10 for second and +5 for third, so a win is worth 20. Spend karma in your Garage on avatar frames, helmets, race suits and kart liveries.
